The Steering Committee for the administration of the Simplified Logistics Zone (ZLS) is established by a decree from the President of the Council of Ministers, upon the proposal of the President of the Region.
The Steering Committee is responsible for:
Defining the procedures for convening meetings, decision-making processes, and the involvement of local authorities, business associations, and trade unions;
Delegating specific actions for the implementation of the ZLS, maintaining a collegial approach;
Ensuring the provision of appropriate tools to facilitate the establishment and operation of businesses within the ZLS, promoting the zone and facilitating access to services;
Promoting collaboration between the one-stop administrative desk of the Port System Authority and the one-stop desks of the relevant municipalities;
Defining the conditions for accessing existing infrastructures;
Monitoring the activities of the beneficiary companies and ensuring compliance with regulations and agreements;
Identifying the responsible entity for entering the identifying data of each individual initiative into the monitoring system established by the Ministry of Economy and Finance;
Proposing any changes to the boundaries of the ZLS in compliance with the established limits;
Proposing the delineation of customs free zones, which must be approved by the Customs and Monopolies Agency within sixty days from the proposal.
The DPCM (Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers) of May 22, 2024, in Article 1, established the Steering Committee for the ZLS Porto di Venezia – Rodigino, assigning the task of presiding over it to the President of the Region and defining the criteria for identifying the representatives of the various administrations involved in the composition of the Committee.
